Acupuncture Manchester Bolton
Acupuncture as practised by our acupuncturist is based on TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) with over 2000 years of development and refinement in the far east.
Acupuncture in the UK is governed
by the British Acupuncture Council.
An acupuncturist treats illness by inserting fine needles into acupuncture points to restore good health and wellbeing.
When inserting fine needles into the skin at particular locations called acupuncture points, the aim is to stimulate the energy flow along meridians (energy channels) and the body's own healing response, other treatment modules are also used, such as moxibustion (burning herbs to warm acupuncture points), electro-acupuncture (stimulating points with small electric currents) and acupressure (to loosen and relax muscles).
Balancing these acupuncture points allows alleviation of symptoms and restoration of health, this approach gives the acupuncturist a broad spectrum of ailments which can be helped such as Pain Syndromes (headaches and migraines), Allergies (eczema, asthma), Menstrual/Menopausal Problems (infertility, morning sickness), Depression, Anxiety, Stress, Insomnia, Dizziness, High Blood Pressure, Strokes, Bells Palsy, Addictions, Digestive Conditions (IBS), Respiratory Conditions (cough and colds).
If you are uncertain please call and speak to one of our acupuncturists to discuss any questions you may have with regards to your needs or treatment. Bolton: 01204 522 133 Manchester: 0161 835 2358
